Artist description
The sound can vary from hard core country to avant garde, genreless music. I like real instruments as opposed to fake drums and keyboards that sound like other things. |

Artist History
I was born in Canada in 1957. I've written songs since I can remember doing anything. I wrote and played two nationally charted songs in the nineties with Excursion Records and produced by Frank Prins. Red Roses in My Hand went to Number 12 and Jukin' in Mississippi went to Number 19 on the country independent Airplay International charts. I gave up trying to appease Nashville and recorded American Rider: A Biker Opera because I did not see myself in the junk they were releasing. I still love country music but I find the gems are hidden in albums that you will never hear on modern country radio stations. |

Group Members
The live band consists of myself on guitar, harmonica, and lead vocals, Lief Frederick on bass and back-up vocal, Tom Griffin on mandolin, banjo, and sometimes dobro or bass, Johnny Dennis on drums, and sometimes we have Marc Weller on pedal steel. The recordings vary from song to song. |

Instruments
Whatever I can get my hands on. A man can't own too many guitars. |

Albums
Red Roses in My Hands (Excursion), American Rider: A Biker Opera, and Ninety Nine Years (Waterloo). |

Press Reviews
The Thunder Press said about American Rider: A Biker Opera, "If Merle Haggard and Neil Young were to bump into each other in a dark alley in Bakersfield and decided to write songs together, this is what it would sound like". |
