Artist History
Glockdust started out as a five piece in 95, in Stockholm Sweden (Then by the name of Second Trip) the guys came together from two bands actually. River Runs Red Where Tomas & David Played and Sick As A Dog With Pirre & Percy both bands had trouble with finding the right musicians to play with, and then through a mutual friend of Pirre and Tomas they've got together, Tomas & David had a friend Who played drums and he agreed on playing with the band until they found themselves a permanent drummer, since he wasn't into playing in a band with all rehearsing and stuff but the guys soon found a drummer in Micke, and things started to take off.
in the summer of 95 they recorded the now classic "Green Demo" and things where rolling quickly, they've where voted band of the week on Radio Bandit a (Swedish Rockstation) or at least it was (now it's just crap!) they played everywhere and nowhere, and then a Swedish TV Station called Z-TV organized a Contest called Zoom 95 and the guys entered and after a couple of shows they made it To the final which took place at Stockholm's then biggest Rockclub Gino, Unfortunately they didn't win but the guys had a great time and maybe A few beers to much before the show, but hey it's only rock'n roll.
Shortly after that Micke left the band as he was heavily into bands Like Kyuss and stuff and preferred to jam on 20 minutes songs, So they had to find a new drummer real quick since things really went well, they had some temporary drummers again and after a year or so Phab went through the door and with his drumstyle things started to take place, and the band took on a more heavier direction and released A couple of demos.
They appeared on a compilation album called Swallow this With their song Believe in 97, and then also in 97 Radio bandit had a Competition called Battle of the stage and the guys once again made it to the final not Winning this time either, but they got to play some really good places And had quiet a lot of radio play.
But the ultimate high came in 1998 when they performed at Swedens biggest outdoor festival, Hultsfredsfestivalen.Wich broke a new attendance record that year with over 25.000 people with Black Sabbath as the main act. At that festival they met a Production company who wanted to finance a whole CD for the band and that basically takes them to 2001!, A lot of stuff has been going on since they started the recording of Superstar Prototype due to having to change studios waiting for Bigger artists to finish their stuff etc, both Percy and Phab started Their own side projects and David has left the band and moved to Australia. But now they feel like they are back on track, and looking forward to finish the new CD and hopefully get that Record deal they've been waiting for.....
