Stars in their own right, they combined to be one of No Limit Records’ flagship groups and have become No Limit’s first supergroup. They’re veterans of the rap game who’ve had their own albums score gold and platinum on the charts.TRU’s 1995 debut album, “True,” was a runaway success, selling more than 200,000 records with very little airplay or promotion; it helped establish No Limit Records as an underground hip hop powerhouse. “Tru 2 Da Game,” their follow-up album was part of the wave of records that brought No Limit to the top of the hip hop world. The most recent release from TRU, “Da Crime Family,” gave life to the hit single “Hoody Hoo.”
