Artist History The history of The Goleta All-Stars, starts back in late 1995, when Nick asked Dan to start a band. They asked their friend Matt to sing for them (even though he had no musical experience previous to that) and Chuck (who didn't know how to play bass) to play bass. This incarnation of the band was called Punk Amoeba. Later a second guitarist was added, Ryan (now in Mars and Staring Back). Then Chuck left the band (for bigger and better crusty bands) and Jared took his place. After two years together, Punk Amoeba broke up (couldn't have happened sooner). 6 months later in September '98, they re-emerged with Matt playing bass and Adi playing second guitar, as The Goleta All-Stars and have been kickin' it old school ever since, yo.
