Artist description
As a San Diego based band, "the joshua scott" created moody, dynamic modern rock. Blending the acoustic guitar and the electric guitar in different formats and setting helped keep the vibe fresh. A tight, driving rhythm section added much needed structure and dynamics to music still best appreciated live. |

Artist History
"the joshua scott" was formed back in the winter of 1998 in Frisco Colorado as a then acoustic duo, Michael and Josh, played a blend of originals and covers at all the local open mics. After honing in a direction they wanted to go with their sound, the two decided to move to San Diego to help better their chances for alittle exposure. A 3 song acoustic demo was immediately recorded as they worked on new material and tried to get settled. Eventually work on a full band cd was in the works though no line up had been put together. The two were fortunate to convince a friend Jesse to record both the drum and bass tracks for a demo before he headed off to trek around Europe. After his return, he was asked to play bass full time. We played for awhile, then we broke up. Mike and Jesse are right now putting a new project together. |
