Press Reviews
"Fuckin' unbelievable! What a great mini-CD, what a band! Excuse me for being totally subjective but this rules! Where are the labels now?? Pandemonium play great death/doom but fortunately without any female vocals. You could compare them with other great bands which play death/doom but Pandemonium have more melody in their songs. Some of the riffs remind me of Danish Aurora. On this mini they offer you 3 majestic tracks. Opener "Frozen meadows" even contains a saxophone which sounds very cool. Of course "Silent tears" and "…to Apeiron" have the same high quality: well structured songs with extremely cool keyboards and great solos. I would sell all my CD's if this band doesn't get a deal very soon! Hey D.S.F. Anthony sign this band goddamn-it! I don't know how much this mini costs but write the band and ask them" /Ron Salden, VAMPIRE MAG (Belgium) ------------------------------------------------- "What do you get when you get together six swedish death-metal musicians? Another superb N.W.O.S.D.M act right? Wrong! completly wrong... even if pandemonium plays ultra melodic death- metal with an emphasized use of melodic, harmonized speed picking lead guitar parts that eventually set most of the song patterns here... Even if the four songs of this demo have multiple timing and melody changes, pandemonium don´t sound as tons of landmates In flames, Dark tranquility and Dissections musical heirs at law. Pandemonium´s music can for my opinion be compared with Amorphis best period (I really dislike what Amorphis´ sound evolved into, but I always went back to the older "tales from the thousand lakes" album.) Kalles vocal works really remind me superb songs such as "Drowned maid", "Thousand lakes"... songs such as "Twilight symphony" or "Fear of denial" just feature the right combination of guttural vocal works, catchy guitar accelerations and key lines. Great fucki´n great! I really like it more and more, listenings after listenings." /Georges Laforet, Pull the chain 9/2000 (Belgium) |
