Artist description
Omni are a versatile rock 'n' roll war machine that have invented a signature sound of their own by mixing elements of sci-fi, folk and heavy metal music to create a strange new style that is spacey, melodic and bombastic all at once. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule: as you listen to the downloads available here, you will notice that some tracks lean more toward one style or the other, so there is always a variety in Omni's compositions. |

Press Reviews
"A trippy, multi-textured production, reflective of many heavier musical genres; laced with creative passages of cleverly orchestrated progressive-rock and brief passages of desolate mayhem... finely-honed fusion for the ice age."- Cosmic Debris Musician's Magazine, Dec '99" Impressively innovative, Omni are a very different band... The few minds that this foursome manage to penetrate will appreciate what they hear. Imagine if Pink Floyd along with Simon & Garfunkel were headlining the Ozzfest. It sounds ludicrous but synthesizers meld with guitars and a certain degree of aggression to create trippy sonic escapes which send you up above the clouds, flying high on a really magic carpet ride." -Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles #40, June 2000 |
