Artist History
During the summer of 1996, two longtime, high school friends, Erich Peace and Stefan Rogers began writing and recording songs together. Natives of Durham, NC, they grew up listening to many of the same kinds of bands like U2, REM, Pink Floyd, The Church, Peter Gabriel and The Police. In the early days, they both honed their musicianship skills in separate bands, Erich with Primal Vision and Stefan with Three Imaginary Boys. Erich in the time between then and now kept busy writing, recording, playing guitar and singing for Psycho Sonic Cindi and assuming Reeves Gabrels (David Bowie) role with Jim Smith and Tall Buildings. Two years ensued, many name changes but few gigs. soon Stefan and Erich parted ways. Erich continued writing and playing odd gigs from time to time. He soon teamed up with Jason Hedrick (bass) and Brandon Lewis (Guitar)and formed, Porcupine. |
