Artist History
Eric Rosenthal - percussion
Eric has worked with many musicians including Anthony Braxton, Joe Fonda, Mario Pavone, Pandelis Karayorgis, Matt Maneri, Bhob Rainey, Dave Bryant from Ornette Colemans Prime Time and with the groups The Either Orchestra, Naftule's Dream and the Shirim Klezmer Orchestra among others.
He has performed all over the US, Canada and Europe including the Montreal Jazz Festival, the Patras Jazz Festival in Greece, the North Sea Jazz festival and the Pori Festival in Finland. He has also appeared on many recordings including "Between Speech and Song" with the Pakula / Karayorgis Quartet on the Cadence label, "Search for the Golden Dreydle" and "Smash, Clap!" with Naftule's Dream on John Zorn's Tzadik label, "Across the Omniverse" with the Either Orchestra on the Accurate label as well as CD's with Shirim, The
Hypnotic Clambake and the Zairean Soukous band Freestyle.
Taylor Ho Bynum - trumpets
Taylor Ho Bynum, performer on various trumpets, composer and bandleader, was born in 1975 and raised in Boston, where he presently resides. He has the great honor of being the first trumpet player to perform regularly with Anthony Braxton since Kenny Wheeler and Leo Smith in the mid seventies, and is a member of Braxton's Tri-Centric Foundation. He is a founding member of the new brass group Paradigm Shift, with Bill Lowe, Joseph Daley, Stephen Haynes, Pheeroan akLaff, and Syd Smart. He has also worked with Fred Ho, Joe Fonda, Kwaaku Kwaakye Obeng, and Abraham Adzenyah, among others, and is presently immersed in the Boston improv scene, working with Bhob Rainey and Eric Rosenthal, Mark Harvey's Aardvark Orchestra, Tom Plsek's Cochlear Mechanics, Nate McBride and Curt Newton's Time and Materials, and Mass Eye and Ear.
