Artist description
The songs are folky with touches of rock, bluegrass, punk, and indie/lo fi. Michael Ed generally likes a very spare sound...as if the songs were being played in a dark Chinese restaurant lounge with five people in it. |

All of the tracks except for a few on The Lost Years were written and recorded by Michael Edward Hester. Those few were also written by Michael Ed (with the exception of Radio Sweetheart Angel which is by David Ziegler-Voll) and recorded by Ed with help from David and some old band mates. Everything else is either a live recording of Ed or a live recording with instruments and backing vocals overdubbed by Ed using his trusty 4-track. |

Both "Late Night Coffee" and "Thinking of Walker P" were also featured selections, with comments about the great vocals and the nice live sound of the recordings. |
