Artist description
Once in a blue moon, a group of musicians comes along that perfectly exhibits all of the elements of a truly great band...incredible writing, fiery musicianship, a give-em-hell attitude and an amazing dedication towards charm, alacrity and decorum. Unfortunately, we’ve never seen a band like this, so thank heavens for Dr. Teeth.
Dr. Teeth is made up of four music major graduates from the world-renowned music school at the University of North Texas. Technically proficient and a with a penchant for getting the crowd jumping all night long, Dr. Teeth is undeniably easy on the eyes. As for the ears, their adventurous songwriting mixed with clever lyrics affords fans catchy hooks on top of fiery solos and juicy beats.
Atlanta, GA guitarist Scott Clark brings his jazz-rock chords and improvisations to the stage while Chicago, IL bassist Michael Barton thumps out the groove below and pulls out some heavy chops. Dallas, TX vocalist and organ player Darius spins witty rhymes and melodies on top of some dirty old-school organ stylings, and the whole machine is set on top of the rock-solid hands of wild man Plano, TX drummer Greg Seale.
Dr. Teeth is constantly garnering new hordes of fans in a series of everwidening tours throughout the U.S. Their rigorous playing schedule lets everybody join the Solid Gold Teeth Dancers in a Dr. Teeth show. Their first full length album Green Muscle Dynamite (82music), their previous E.P. Old Style (Yasmeen’s Tunnel of Spice Records), the promise of an upcoming live album, and numerous live bootlegs make hearing Dr. Teeth easy for everyone.
Dr. Teeth clearly has a good time doing what they do best, and the attitude is contagious. This is a band to hear and see, just like their loyal fans do at every show and with every album release. Check out Dr. Teeth the first chance you get. Dance and sing along with them now, because each show gets hotter and hotter... Dr. Teeth is about to explode on to the scene in your area with its thumping cuts and rock-out tracks. Like Dr. Teeth says, " Don’t be afraid to shake it around. We’ve seen it before and we like it."
