Artist description
WWW.MP3.COM/DRAGONX A NEW ALBUM WILL BE RELEASED IN FEBUARY. A hip hop artist that experiments in many styles but always sounds tight. Says Dragon: In addition to the phat anthems, I also choose to use hip hop as a medium of communication to effect social change. Why do we let babies be born into areas most people would be afraid to simply drive through? It's time to stop being fake-assed rebels who support the corporate machine. Be real. There's a lot of fakes out there. In fact, most people are, but there's enough of us real ones to join together and make a change, and open up some minds. We can't be cynical. The revolution will not happen overnight. It will not happen through violence. It will happen through realization and acceptance of the truth. It may take thousands of years, but we're gonna make it. Keep questioning everything, especially yourself. Some of my songs might sound cynical, but basically I believe that everyone has the capacity for love. Its up to us to bring out the truth, bring out the love, keep thinking, keep asking questions. |

Artist History
Dragon is an experienced keyboard and guitar player. He has been into hip hop since he could walk, and has been producing tracks since he was 13. Now, at 18, he hopes to release his thoughts on the world through the most socially provocative genre of music of recent years. He considers himself part of the hip hop underground who refuse to let hip hop be taken over by people who care about nothing but money yet claim to keeping it real. He both be produces and raps his own songs. No albums have been released yet, but the he hopes to release one in Feburary 2000. He feels that this album is a huge step up from the amateurish "No Red Lights." More experience, practice, and better equipment has created better, more original, tighter sounding tracks. |
