Since February of this year (2000) I have been working on a passion of mine, completing a musical based on the life of Christ--from birth to ressurection. I had some time off this summer, and spent my waking hours slaving over my PC and my Triton, completing the script, the songs and the score for this effort.I had three reasons for Emmanuel:TM - 1. I felt driven to do it! 2. I wanted to tell the "whole" story, and not leave out Christ's ressurection--that's like leaving out the sinking of the ship from the movie--"Titanic." 3. I wanted to create something that people will be moved by/and touched by.... I will be spending time this next year--trying to get this show produced, blocked, scored and performed in the Phoenix, AZ. Community -- I will be starting in my home church here first to see if we have enough people to put this on. If you have ideas, please let me know-- as I will be seeking outside help eventually in getting this produced. - D.F. |
