Power Pop foursome from San Francisco. Inadvertently created the quiet-core genre early in their career, as they had no drummer. Power-pop band Spackle veterens Andy Lund and Scot Callis brought Brown-Star to their current fervor. |

Artist History
Starting in 1994 as a side project, Brett Klinker (guitar) and Moon Trent (singer) wrote songs and played out for a couple of years with bassist Consuelo Ramirez. In 1997 Scot Callis (drums) and Andy Lund (bass, cello, vocals) completed the current 4 member group. Moon Trent was formerly with Pale. In 1998 Brown-Star and Pale were added to "Outloud: the Encyclopedia of Gay and Lesbian Recordings." "http://www.queermusic.com" |
