Artist History
Tinkers Punishment has become one of the most acclaimed independent bands from the Midwest with a growing dedicated fan base all over the region.
Word of mouth popularity has earned them a steady schedule, playing weekly in venues ranging from small clubs and bars to prominent concert halls and theaters. Headlining performances create ecstatic response, nearly selling out venues all over the Denver Metro Area including the Soiled Dove, Bluebird Theater, and Gothic Theatre. Recognized also as a solid supporting act, in the last year
Tinkers Punishment has opened for Cake, Fuel, Lifehouse, Better Than Ezra, Fastball, Lit, American Hi-Fi and Phantom Planet. This is not to mention their appearances in national festivals and showcases touring through Colorado.
The band's innovation and energy in the studio and on stage has caught the attention of many music industry professionals including Nobody In Particular Presents and Clear Channel Concerts/radio stations. Tinkers Punishment has also gained endorsements with Gravis Footwear and Pepsi's new AMP Energy Drink, which has given way to a spot on the AMP Circuit Tour and continuous radio promotions throughout the U.S.
Their songs span experimental, moody, and heart-broken, to smart, well crafted pop. The sound hints to Radiohead, Weezer, Travis, and Our Lady
Peace with influences ranging from the Beatles to Jeff Buckley. With three independent releases under their belt, and another on the way, Tinkers
Punishment is beginning to establish a strong name for themselves on a national level. |

Press Reviews
"...precise, clean, and careful renditions of pop fare. Tinker's is a capable young band..." - Westword June 2002 ||| "Tinkers Punishment also appears to have an endless ability to be creative without rescrition… Their sound is fresh and innovative and the unity among band members' is something that goes deeper than just a collective group of musicians… As for potiential they certainly have it." - RIFF Magazine ||| 2002 Westword Music Award Winners (Pop/Rock) ||| ". . . Tinkers Punishment has been tearin' up the club scene for a couple years, but now they have a high quality CD to showcase their strong songwriting and vocal skills. . . . The music is clearly contemporary pop rock with varied influences that aren't so obvious as to be derivative, but clear enough to sound vaguely familiar while maintaining a fresh original overall sound." - LMNOP ||| "It's easy to see why so many people are so happy with this band. Despite their youthful appearance, these guys don't play like kids, and they especially don't write like it. I honestly can't think of one bad thing to say about Tinker's Punishment." - Denver Music Plus |
