Artist description We play heavily arranged progressive Metal, mixed with improvised solos: "Written solos are for cowards!!!" as our guitarist say. We mix 70's to 90's progressive Rock with classical harmonies and progressions, with fragments of Jazz and Fusion and turning them into metallic. Be also prepared for riffs of the Bluesy style and a lot of "pentas". We all have different musical background, but most of us play a lot of Jazz, when not playing in MediAbusE. The singer is by the way a French Horn player of the classical school, but a total metal-freak. The lyrics describes all from strange society matters to personal love failures or successes. The singers obsession with ancient mythology shines through in "Gaia" which is the second part in a music cycle, and plans are made to complete the whole cycle and record it, whenever time is right... An other concept cycle is also under production where Fredrik, the singer, has written the lyrics and Eka, the guitarist, is writing the music. As said before: Whenever time is right...

Artist History MediAbusE started as a project, when the singer and composer, Fredrik Englund, thought that a few of his songs had been collecting to much dust lying on a desk. He phoned a few friends and a week later the band started rehearsing, Three months later, after X-mas and a some other holidays, the band recorded a Demo in IMH studios in Arvika, Sweden, containing six fresh songs, during a weekend. We called ourselves MediAbusE, name taken from one of our songs. The Demo was named: "project: Zebroid" because of a crazy idea the singer came up with during the sessions, and his Zebra-striped pants... Zebroid is a Humanoid Zebra: half human and half Zebra, as simple as that...
