Artist History
Eternal Aftermath was formed in November of 2000. Paul Romano, Stephan Piotrowski, and Matt Camussi were on their way to a Linkin Park concert down in New York City when they thought of the idea of creating their own band. Stephan and Matt were good vocalists, and Paul had been learning guitar for the past year. All they needed now was a drummer and a bassist. Matt said that one of his friends from school, Aaron, played the drums and was very good at it. So one day, they all got together at Aaron's house to play some music despite the fact that they had no bassist yet. At the practice, all the members became acquainted. During the 4 hours at practice, the guys put together their first song, Never Forget You. Later that week, Paul called his friend, Tyreek, to see if he wanted to be in Eternal Aftermath. At that time, Tyreek had played bass guitar for 1½ years and had influenced Paul into playing guitar. Tyreek gladly accepted Paul's offer. Over the next few months, the members of Eternal Aftermath got together every week and wrote music in preparation of their first gig for Battle of the Bands. For Battle of the Bands at Lakeland High School, there would be seven bands competing to see who was the best. Each band was told they need a 20 minute set-list. After finding this out, the guys in Eternal Aftermath timed their set, which at the time included Session A, Never Forget You, Leave It Alone, A Place For My Head, Diffusion, and Modern Nightmare, and it came out to be 21 minutes. At Battle of the Bands on March 30, 2001, Eternal Aftermath played their set perfectly, and although they didnt win, they had great fun and got a name for themselves around the local community. Shortly after Battle Of The Bands, Eternal Aftermath acquired a second guitarist, James Joyce, who was a friend of Paul and Tyreek through school. James played as the rhythm guitarist for several months until he quit because of personal reasons. EA now has their focus and attention on recording. |
