Artist description
Alex Schein's blend of acoustic rhythms, spoken rhymes,and soulful melodies has put him in a unique category of artistry. After playing in his local college town of Fredericksburg,VA for two years, Schein joined the Bosnia Peace Project on their tour with the Dave Matthews Band during the summer of 2000. It was during this two-month period that Schein shared his music with the largest crowds in the United States as well as with some of the most respected talent in the industry such as Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Ben Harper, and Ozomatli. Schein is also a member of both the Hip Hop Congress and IntuitionNYC. Throughout his involement with these organizations, Schein has had the opportunity to work with artists such as: Plantet Asia,The Bedouin,Dj Spinna,Binary Starr,Ursula Rucker,Stephanie McKay&Jacques Schwartz, Kristen Mainhart & Khromozomes, and Mission on Mars. |
