Artist History
X-Conformist is a Christian political old school punk band. We Sing about issues facing this world today and simply state our beliefs. We don't mean to force them on anyone but just to express our feelings towards the matter. Our main purpose with the band is to be more of a ministry then a music act. The only thing people get out of music is a good time, but when the holy spirit moves through the music that's something much, much greater. And that's what we strive for, to touch people through our music, and if God willing help lead them to Christ. Some of our major influences are Officer negative, Speedy delivery, Spudgun and Anti-flag. Now that you know about the band here is a little XC history.X Conformist! started in April of 2000. I (dan) used to be in a band called temporary residence but when we broke up I was looking to start something new. Three of the current members of xc go to the same Church, so it was only a matter of time before we got together and jammed. We used to have 4 members but that bass player (PJ) didn't work out. We then added two other vocalists (Ryan and Todd) but again it didn't work out. Then we met up with mikey weinberg who used to be in the band working class threat. We liked him, he liked us so we asked him to join the group. So I guess that leads us to the present day. With 4 members (Nick, Mikey, Charles and myself) we are X conformist. |
