    Artist History
Ripe is a NYC based 7-piece progressive pop/rock band. The instrumentation of Ripe is 3 female singers, keys, guitars, violin, bass and drums. And the sound? Splice Vanessa Carlton with Dave Matthews. Now, add a touch of Dido and a sprinkle of Sugar Ray. Ripe is known for their musicianship and showmanship. During shows, the girls of Ripe have glitter fights on stage while singing in three-part harmony. The boys of Ripe play musical chairs with their instruments or perhaps play blind-folded, whichever strikes their mood. Ripe has been playing together since November of 2001. In that time, we acquired a NYC-based publisher and a European based publisher that represent our songs to the industry. Ripe's songs have been added to play lists on FM stations in Montana, Chicago, Australia, Denmark, Costa Rica and in Israel, as well as Internet Radio Stations like the "Best of Evor" (http://www.evor.com/radio.html) and NewArtistShowcase.com. Ripe also played for the crowds of the 2002 Sweet Sixteen Basketball games in Syracuse (Sponsored by the NCAA and Dodge), the 2002 Arts and Music Festival in Hoboken, NJ, and in June of 2002, the girls of Ripe sang the National Anthem in 3 part harmony for the Brooklyn Cyclones. In Sept of 2002, Ripe played a two-hour set on campus for the NJ Institute of Technology. RIPE will be singing thier National Anthem for the 2003 Brooklyn Cyclones' July 4th Celebration.
