Artist description
Extropy are dark prophets, trumpeting the plight of modern society against the backdrop of a civilization on the verge of transcendent thought. Seamlessly stitching the threads of technology with post-punk doom and gloom and art-rock imagery, the duo are intent upon subverting the mainstream with a "cinematic" artistry that is pure visual bliss; a lonely wandering child in a devastated ruin; a small blue planet in a sea of indifferent stars - the essence of human fallibility and insignificance. Layer upon layer of sampled ambience, echoing guitar, oceanic synths, and dreary processed vocals paint the landscape; stabs of electricity, filtered beats and distorted loops slice it up for the next scene. Always shifting, always evolving, Extropy is a band with a message: there is hope... but it is fading fast....
