Artist description The Danish/Portuguese/American band [down:Edge] was formed in late 2000 and has four members. [down:Edge] is melodic alternative metal embracing both hard and soft elements in a sound that is often marked by melancholic moods due to both the female vocal and the 'andante' riffing. The lyrical side focus on personal evolvement and expresses some of the issues we all face in life. The old lyrics from the song 'Waiting' probably signifies best what [down:Edge] holds dear and express through their music: '...Want to live, I don’t want to get older, Want to Love, I don’t want to get Colder, Want to be what I am, I am not Waiting... Want to be, I don’t want to pretend, Want to Love, I don’t want to just bend, Want to be who I am, I am not Waiting...'

Artist History The history of [down:Edge] begins in the fall of 2000 when Chris joins Klaudia and Alison who used to have the band Truk. They soon discover that they have a good thing going here, but something was missing. In December Carsten joined and [down:Edge] was complete. [down:Edge] has played live a number of times in and around Copenhagen and are currently working on some gigs outside of Denmark. [down:Edge] has so far recorded three demo's (Straight Up, Waiting & an unnamed) and a live demo (1st Live).

Group Members Klaudia - Vocalized Voice Machine, Chris - Riff Distortion, Alison - Beat Box, Carsten - Vibration Wave The members come from Portugal, USA and Denmark.
