Artist History
The Band formed in the summer of 2000, in Kansas City, MO. The original lineup was Ricky Reyes, J. Paul, Brian Gwaltney, Dominique Brown, Rich Smith and Jeff Pendergraft. Early into the bands inception it met with tragedy. Keyboardist, Brian Gwaltney, was gunned down by a man who obviously thought that the change in Brian's girlfriends purse was worth killing for. The bands first CD is dedicated to his memory.
After recording the first CD guitarist, Ricky Reyes, relocated to California leaving big shoes to fill. Matt Ericson was finally chosen to fill them. The band has since been playing often and in good company. The band has opened for the likes of Fugazi, The Bell Rays, The Role Models, etc.
Their sound has been described as what Hunter S. Thompson might listen to while driving a black convertible Cadillac through the desert to Vegas. Taking influences ranging from Social Distortion to Gun Club to The Beasts of Bourbon, they have fused them into something completely original. They take you from Bukowski to Revelations, from whiskey to eternal damnation and leave you wanting more. Through difficult beginnings the band has rallied to become an amazing songwriting team and live show to behold.
