Artist description
I'm a young man who is interested in all types of creation, including music. Music has a special meaning for me, it moves the body and the emotions and has invoked some of the most intense experiences in my life. I try to paint the landscapes of creation in my music so that others can be exposed to the world I know so deeply.
I'm a dual-citizen of the U.S. and Sweden with an interest in art, poetry, music, philosphy, videogames and the creation of all the above. For some of my work in the above areas check out my website http://welcome.to/perlichtman (which hasn't been updated in a while and has a defunct e-mail address.) Among other things it contains over a thousand lines of (copyrighted) poetry I wrote while doing trans-atlantic correspondence with my father. |

Artist History
've been composing since 1998 and have essentially no orthodox training. My songs are almost entirely based on inspiration and imagery. Some of my influences include the new age artist Rob Whitesides-Woo (who is also a dear family friend) as well as videogame and film scores, especially the work of Nobuo Uematsu, Yasonuariy Mitsuada, Hiroki Kikuta and Yoko Shimomura. |

Press Reviews
"I'm not sure what expectations I came in with, but I remember thinking, 'Wow, this stuff is pretty good.'... Overall, I give the music of Per Lichtman a 9.5."
