Artist History
MORRIS CAN FLY formed in 1997. Steve (vocals and guitars) and Marc (drums) are brothers and have been arguing over who founded the band since its inception. Barry Allen (bass) was added in 1996. Barry used to play in a popular heavy metal band, but got tired of de-tuning. The boys have been gigging their asses off ever since. The band has headlined every major venue in the Pacific Northwest and has opened for the likes of Blue Oyster Cult, Shoveljerk and Peter Kris, Morris Can Fly has been voted one of the best unsigned bands on the west coast by MUSIC CONNECTION magazine, the last two years running. |

Press Reviews
The Rocket, March, 1997: "Morris Can Fly is one cool looking band. And in this day and age, looks matter, right? Dig the groovy sound and the bell-bottoms." Seattle Times, November, 1998: "Morris Can Fly's all-out live show is like a three-ring circus, they just explode on stage . . . the live tracks sound like they're just having too much fun." Seattle Post-intelligencer, July 1999: "This ambitious Seattle trio performs an aggressive blend of rock, funk and blues. Watch out for the stage divers!" |
