Group Members Personal BiographyCHRIS ALLEN BURKE, Vocals, Electric & Acoustic Guitars, Pedal Steel & Dobro Guitars and Harmonica. The Bandleader of HIRED GUNS, and originally from Maryland, he relocated himself and family to southern California in the spring of 1988. Before that and through the years, Chris has been a much sought after band member and recording session musician. His multiple talents and flavor for a broad range of styles have brought a lot of attention and constant work to his table. In 1994 he decided to step to center stage and begin performing songs he wrote and felt from the heart. Chris started out achieving this by booking himself as a single then quickly progressed to duos and now has the entire strength of HIRED GUNS with him. Never an idle soul, when the complete band is not working; Chris still performs on a regular basis with duo and trio partners from HIRED GUNS as well as other area talent. If that isn’t enough, he continues to maintain the Pedal Steel chair in several live and studio situations. Also to his credit, he’s written many songs that are currently being recorded and performed by other area talent. The release of the 2nd and newest CD, “My Own Hands,” has opened eyes as well as doors both inside the recording industry and around the music community. His live performances continue to move audiences as they get charged up and become instant believers witnessing Chris effortlessly maneuvering through the eclectic styles of his talents and experience.
