Artist History
Gwen Snyder is a singer/songwriter/pianist who has made a splash in NYC with her band Blueberry and also as the bassist for the critically acclaimed band Johnny Society. Gwen started out in NYC’s downtown theatre scene and soon began experimenting with a 4-track in her apartment. She hooked up with Chris Rael (Church of Betty) and Kenny Siegal (Johnny Society) and began making records with them in their rat-infested playground dungeon (The Kennel) Down Under the Manhattan Bridge in Brooklyn. Now Gwen writes, arranges, and produces all of the Blueberry material herself. Blueberry is dedicated to joining many different art forms for the cause of peace, love, and annihilation of the synthetic, creativity-squelching age of media that we are caught up in now. If you are nauseated when you turn on the radio/tv, or open a magazine, Blueberry could be the cure that you’ve been waiting for. |
