Artist History
On Aug 27, 1999 Alex Torres picked up an acoustic guitar and with the help of his friend, Johnny Rosales ,learned how to play Sublime's "Bad Fish". From Sublime to DMB to Jason Mraz, John Mayer, the Allman bros., and everything in between Alex started playing music. Songwriting wasn't a premeditated action on his part, but it eventually happened. "Burnin' Bridges" was the first song Alex wrote and since that time he has done his best to write music that reflects the part of him and humanity that is rarely seen by even the most initamte of friends.
He recorded his 4 track EP "Negative Me" at KXCR radio station in El Paso, TX with the help of an ex-coworker named Paul Cortez. He is currently living and playing in music in El Paso,TX and plans on traveling to Europe in the fall of '03. |
