Artist description
Ciaira's tears draws its influences from all over the board. From metal to grunge, to Gregorian chants to good ol' rock, the band mixes its tastes accordingly. Distorted guitars are nicely layered with enough effects to have you listening, but not enough to make you puke. Shiny metallic drumming barrages underneath to pummel the ground beneath the kit for a 100 kilometer radius. The bass is heavy and thumps the senses with enough vibrating intensity to shake small children from the womb of unsuspecting wild animals.
Ciaira's tears creates dynamical sounds of intense flavour likened to creamy milkshakes with small hints cinnamon mint whipped cream. Okay, maybe not. But the sound in the studio is less intense than on stage. On stage the boys rip into their songs and into them selves to deliver powerful and thundering renditions of their songs. |

Artist History
Ciaira's tears began by playing acoustic shows in 1999. In the year 2000 they recorded their first disc, Life After... EP, and hit the bar stage to display their talents to the masses. After finishing production on their first video, Aconite, Ciaira's tears had a slight line up change with the addition of a new bass player. Still a three piece, Ciaira's tears is now planning a second recording and a tour in May of 2003. |

Press Reviews
from http://scorerocks.com/reviews-ae.html
The funniest part of this whole CD is the begining of "Alconol", which is recorded live. Some guy in the audience is yelling "SLAYER!", which is a familiar refrain from a recent live show that we attended. Was it the same guy? You tell us. "Mrs. Alexander" doesn't fall far from this guy's wish with its old-school metal qualities. Ciaira's Tears have produced a hard-edged rock sound that is sometimes reminiscent of early 90's grunge, at least in the vocals. They thank Pepsi, which wins points with us (especially since we're drinking it with Malibu at the present moment). |
