    Artist History
The band started off with drummer Phil and bassist Matt just jamming with a guy named Dru who played guitar and Casey on vocals. John and Casey have been friends since the 7th grade and always had asperations of being in a band some day with their deep love for music. One day that Dru couldn't come to practice, the band asked Ryan to come jam with them for a while. John and Ryan came over and the band jammed around and came up with some cool beats. The band asked Ryan to come back to the next practice to jam with them while Dru was there. Ryan and Dru's styles were totally different: Dru's influences included a lot of drop-D tuned Korn riffs, and Ryan's were heavy Metallica-like riffs. Ryan was obviously more talented than Dru, and Dru tried to be too commanding in the group, trying to tell other people how to play their instruments and such, so he was let go. Casey asked John to come in and do some vocals with him since the two were friends, and so was formed the new band. The band went through many stages, being that nobody in the group had been in a real band before. The first name that was decided upon was "No Reflection." We had a scheduled performance at a school fundraiser where bands from our school came and played. We needed a name and just decided on "No Reflection" because the band members stand for individuality and not going and following the crowd and what's popular. After a while, the band decided "No Reflection" was a pretty weak name, so came about "Subliminal Incoherence" which translates in Lamen's Terms to "a non-comprehendable voice that is hidden deep within the music" which basically says that a lot of the lyrics are symbolistic for many things that have happened to the band and it's members. What is being said in the song may not be what it seems, but rather represent something different. Too many people couldn't comprehend what the band name meant, or even how to pronounce it. Now the name is exactly what we wanted to communicate in the first place: "Hidden Logic" *Written May 29, 2001 by John Kary*
