Artist History
Markus McDowell began playing piano and guitar and in bands when in junior high school. He majored in music in college at Abilene Christian University, playing in a university jazz ensemble, the university orchestra, and writing, arranging, and playing in various musical productionsHe won a number of electronic and acoustic music composition contexts. During this time Markus formed a band called Jazmine, which performed all over Texas playing pop, rock, progressive rock, and dance tunes.After graduating, Markus continued playing in Jazmine, taught piano and guitar lessons for a music store, and ran the recording studio he had built. After a few years, he moved to southern California and formed two bands, Terra Pax and Private Sector, writing song, performing, and working on getting a recording contract.Eventually, Markus began working on his own matieral, while running his studio producing commercial jingles and soundtracks for radio, TV, and video. |
