Artist History Jennifer Appelquist, a cross between the eclectic vocal beauty of Tori Amos and the soulful skill of Janis Joplin, is accompanied by Aaron Cuadra, whose guitar hails immense energy and expression. The warm rush of Aaron’s acoustic guitar celebrates the sheer beauty of Jennifer’s rich vocal gift and produces an euphoric sound that rivals even the most popular and talented acts in the music industry today. Insightful lyrics and memorable melodies have proven their music worthy of airplay on both radio and national television. Songs entitled “Maddness, “ Facet”, and “War”, from their self produced CD “Little Girl,” were chosen by Fox Broadcasting to air on three different episodes of David E. Kelly’s Emmy award winning show “Party of Five.” They secured two demo deals with Warner Brothers, both of which were recorded at Cherokee Studios in Los Angeles, under the direction of Grammy award winning producer, Barry Goldberg. Studio savvy, BLISS worked with highly acclaimed artists, including David Mallabourne, former drummer for both the Steve Miller Band and Bruce Springsteen. BLISS has toured nightclubs and universities throughout the United States enrapturing thousands of individuals, young and old, with their intriguing and infectious pop rock notes. Performances with distinguished acts such as Train (“Sweet Virginia”), Shana Morrision, and Canadian sensation Holly McNarland created a following worthy of audiences at University of Utah, University of Arizona, The Roxy and Luna Park in Los Angeles, and San Francisco’s Transmission Theater.
