Artist History
Common appreciation for music is what started The Nougat Fiasco. Dan and Alex formed a Silverchair cover band that sounded ridiculous without a drummer. The cacophony ended when they added a long time friend, Scott Steiner, to the band. Together they mimicked the sounds of their idol bands, Silverchair, Tool, and Helmet until they were ready to play parties and small time clubs and pubs. Their first trip into the recording studio spawned a 4 track EP titled “A Sweet Failure.” However, the CD was not a failure at all according to its success on online charts and popularity amongst the local youth. At 14 and 15 years of age, the trio was regularly playing shows with people nearly half a decade older than them. While they were made fun of for their young age, The Nougat Fiasco was only inspired to work harder and be better than everyone else.
Time went by. Facial hair grew and so did The Nougat Fiasco’s fan base. Armed with new songs and more talent, a newer, more mature Nougat Fiasco hit the stage. The band quickly sold over 150 T-shirts, but their fans wanted more. A new CD was absolutely necessary. All that money in the band fund was combined with the money made from Publix so The Nougat Fiasco could enter the recording studio once again. This time, with the help of Sound Engineer, Patrick Trombly, the nougats spent countless hours experimenting and fine-tuning their masterpiece. The result was a 6 song EP blending the most vibrant and melodic sounds of Hard Rock and Punk music. After many a carwash, The Nougat Fiasco, raised enough money to send their CD entitled “HARBINGER” to a CD manufacturing plant. “HARBINGER” was a huge step for The Nougat Fiasco and they are hopeful that it may carry them into bigger and better things.
