Artist description
Transcending the traditional sounds of Sacramento rock, Tenfold stands out as one of the city's finest talents. With an unyielding ability to hook listeners in with rhythmic basslines, articulate guitar riffs, melodic vocals and driving drumbeats, Tenfold manages to not only use the familiar undertones of rock that listeners crave, but also speckles their sound with an almost dreamlike quality. The end result is music that is both fiery and yet soothing, jagged at one moment and soft at the next. With a new re-release of their sophomore effort "Ad Astra," old tracks from the original release such as "Breathless" get a new twist while the others get a little fine-tuning. Songs such as "Nosedive" and "back Seat Driver" show a considerable growth from their predecessors from the band's self titled debut, yet at the same time echo an underlying style that the band has managed to grasp as their own. At their current state, it seems that Tenfold will continue to give Sacramento it's fame as one of the best local scenes in the country. // =v= |
