Most of our songs are heavy; a few are punk songs; vocals have been described as somewhere between Motorhead and Rancid but we don't think that's completely accurate

    Artist History
Jason and Xoph met in late 1999 and started working on punk songs. Both were guitarists, but Xoph decided to give drums a try. Songs soon became heavier and more metal-influenced. Josh joined on bass in late 2000. (Eric from Superstructure and Jeremy from Skeptics played bass for a few days once to get us through a show.) Also in late 2000, we recorded drum tracks for a 9-song demo. Being lazy, we did not get the other tracks down and mix things until several months later.
    Group Members
For all recordings, members are: Jason Sylvan - guitar, vocals ; Josh Santarpia - bass, vocals on "Suffocate" ; Christoph Borst - drums, guitar solos on "Suffocate" and "Embittered" ; Notes: David Stroud plays guitar with us live but is not on the recordings. Lyrics are written by Jason except for "Suffocate" lyrics by Josh. Recordings are produced/engineered by Christoph. (Thanks to Jason Romero and Jeremy for letting us use some mics and a mixer.)

    Press Reviews
"sirs, when i heard your song "suffocate" at mp3.com, i was transformed. the music spoke to me of the lilting song of warblers exclaiming the intoxication of spring. please, i must have a cd of this material. i will do anything for it. if necessary i will prostitute my body for the ability to replay the songs over and over at will. I will even drop my crack habit in exchange for the very opium which is your music. should i send you money? give me an address so that i can send you a check." -frogpoet
