Artist description
A very strange band. Few but very energetic rehearsals. When we are together; we give everything. Our music is filled with dark energy, and we often spend more time gathering inspiration, than actually rehearsing. We intend to be creative in our field, and our new album "Retroquarium" is very experimental. Still we have managed to keep the trademark "Retronomicon" psychotic sound. Retronomicon is an aquired taste, and most of our fans have a lot of experience listening to hard black metal. Don't expect our music to be "easy-listening", it is as far away from that term as possible. You must be able to appreciate moods and intention in music, above technicality. We always want our releases to sound spontaneous, therefore we play our instruments in a way which someone might call sloppy. If you are unable to grasp the intention behind this style of performing, please look to other artists for you listening experiences, but be warned, you are missing out on a unique sound. |

Artist History
Started rehearsing in 99 under the banner of Retronomicon, but we have been working together for a long time with different projects.
In 2000 we released our first demo, called "Retrograde". This release gained a lot of attention with the black metal undergrunds most dedicated followers.
The music circles around on different trading lists all over the world. Our recent accomplishment "Retroquarium" will soon se the day of darkness.
This time we have been a lot more influenced by insanity than on our last piece of work. Rest assured that you won't get anything but pure Retronomicon originality once again. By the way: We are already writing for our next release! |
