Rebeka Reed is a dynamic singer/songwriter who has been performing in front of audiences since she was four years old. Whether she’s on stage or in front of the camera, Rebeka is captivating. In November 2001, Rebeka released her debut CD, Pharaoh’s Daughter.
Since the release of her CD, Rebeka has received much acclaim. Nominated for five music industry awards including the Canadian Independent Music Awards - Pop Album of the Year; 2003 East Coast Music Award (ECMA) nomination for Pop Artist/Group of the Year; 2002 Music Industry Association of Nova Scotia (MIANS) Music Awards nomination for Music Industry Artist of the Year; 2002 MIANS Galaxie Nova Award nomination (New Artist/Group that show promise in 2003) and the 2002 Just Plain Folks Music Awards nomination for Best Pop Song of the Year for the song “Feel Good!”. One of the highlights for Rebeka was opening four US concert dates for Atlantic Recording Artist Jewel, the most recent being May 10, 2003 in Central Park, NYC.
Over the past few years, Rebeka has performed at many prestigious events, performed on numerous television and radio programs, released her first music video and three songs from “Pharaoh’s Daughter” have played on numerous radio stations across Canada, United States and Ireland including some top commercial radio stations.
Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Rebeka co-hosted the national TV show “Street Cents” on CBC; has had three movie role credits; played the lead roles in the theatre productions of “Annie”; “Scapino”; “Once Upon A Mattress” and “King and I” (winning the best actress award for her role as “Anna” at Hollywood High School – Los Angeles); provided voice-overs for Ponds and Nike commercials and has numerous on camera TV commercial and still ad credits. Rebeka’s adaptability as a performer makes her a remarkable talent that is sure to please any audience.
