Artist History PART I DirtyMix2001 has all the right ingredients to become a successful Hip Hop Power in this wild and crazy entertainment industry. The team started back in the summer of 1995 with a group of guyz who at the time were a bunch of college dropouts. It was business as usual for a couple of the members. “I mean, yaknow, hustling for bread and meat”. The first few steps were small, but at that time two turntables, a sampler and a couple of mics were major. Back then putting in work was hooking up with “L” (The DJ, who now lives in New York) drinking beer, smoking weed and free styling over instrumentals. This was great for the time being. They even went as far as to travel to Baltimore, Maryland to record their first couple of tracks “Unsolved Mysteries and “Baddest In This Era”. As time went on they knew they had a tough road ahead of them. There came a time when some had to make a choice on whether to continue to chase their dreams or do what was necessary to make their dreams become reality. Some chose to take the easy way out, so they continued to do what they did best. While other members were pressing to make a better life for themselves. In the spring of 97 a couple of the members were back on the right track, as far as continuing their education. While the other members still had their ears to the street. Things only started to get better when a long time friend, now a founder and member of the team made it known that he was producing tracks in his living room. Production started to pick up, enthusiasm started to spread and the dream again was foreseeable in the near future. They started recording heavy at Phat Dads Recording Studio (now known as Raw Footage Recording Studio) in Columbus, Ohio. To Be Continued
