    Artist description
Suspect Device is an original rock band out of Boston, Mass. While they are loud, raucous and get the crowd moving, their influences cross multiple genres to include punk, rock, reggae, Motown, and blues. Evocative and relevant social commentary is lyricized intelligently, but is accessible and tuneful. When they play out live you can't help but realize that they've got guts and they spill them at every single show.

    Artist History
The band was founded in 1998 by J. Bennett and his good friend Chris. A veteran of the Providence and Boston punk scenes in the mid & late 80¡¦s, Bennett fine-tuned his guitar bits and worked with Chris on bass lines until they found drummer Adam Stevens that summer. Practice commenced in Chris¡¦ Hillside St. basement where they quickly attracted the attention of Matt (Matty-O-Mighty) Walsh who had recently moved in. With a strong background in blues and rock ¡¥n roll, and the ability to play almost any instrument with either balls or finesse, the band was happy to add Matt to the roster and fill out their sound with a lead guitarist. The band played out around Boston and Providence by word of mouth for almost a year before they recorded a self-titled demo EP, Following that release, the band lost drummer Adam to geography, but quickly found a replacement among their fans. New England punk rock veteran, Josh Bloomer, discovered Suspect Device playing in a grotty club in JP and offered to come out of self-imposed retirement to join the band. The warhorse drummer, formerly of the band Mi6, proved to be a veritable metronome; they were able to continue playing without skipping a beat. Following the addition of Bloomer, they went back into the studio and continue to play searing live shows all over the area with intensity and infectious energy that wins new fans at every show.
