With a voice and style uniquely his own, his raw talent is pure and undeniable. While continually paying his dues to refine his craft, he remains focused on his goal to bring his music to the masses. With a natural ear for production and arranging along with a smooth combination of musical styles to draw upon, his compositions come together to form a unique blend that allows him to reach a variety of audiences in today's marketplace. With the independent release of his debut solo project, "...a matter of time", mike t follows in the tradition of powerful songwriting, where memorable melodies and insightful lyrics come together to give the listener a finely tuned view into the world of the artist. This self-produced EP, written, arranged and recorded by mike at his home-based studio, only begins to showcase the potential of this multi-faceted musician. Artist History While attending the prestigious Berklee College of Music in the mid-90's, mike t sharpened his musical skills learning the nuances of music production and vocal performance. He taught himself to play the piano, discovered the art and love of songwriting, and ultimately earned his Bachelors of Music degree in Production & Engineering. His charismatic, high-energy stage presence earned him the honor of being a featured lead vocalist in several high profile productions where he showcased his talents in special performances for Billy Joel and Al Jarreau. With over a hundred shows and recitals under his belt, he has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with some of today's most respected talents, both amateur and professional. More recently, mike has produced and co-written with Contemporary Christian recording artist Kim Hardee, and is currently working on several projects for up & coming unsigned acts. In the past he has collaborated with Grammy-Award-winning writer/producer Daryl Simmons, and you can find him on Smooth Jazz artist Greg Manning's album "Soulciety" where mike has both co-written and performed. He can also be found lending his vocal talents to several award-winning commercials, including spots for McDonald's and Coke Cola. With the formation of his own company, Colorblind Soul Productions, mike t continues to write and produce his subtle blend of pop, r&b, and soul in hopes of ultimately bringing his creations to the world.
