Artist History
Joy Wilson has been playing guitar, singing and songwriting for thirteen years and performing professionally for over seven years. At age 27, Joy is a recording artist with four albums under her belt (one solo album, another with a seven piece band, a recording as a trio, and her most recent release, "In the Meantime") each on her own independent label, Yu Go Girl Records. She has performed in a wide range of venues including quiet acoustic coffee houses, lively college bars, live public radio shows, New York City's famous songwriter's joint the Sidewalk Café, a formal theatre setting opening up for Maria Muldaur (Midnight at the Oasis), as a featured artist on a local television program, as a two time showcase finalist in the annual National Songwriter's Expo, as an opening act for Steppenwolf, Foghat, and Blue Oyster Cult at a rowdy outdoor summer festival, and as guest performer for the WNBA at the Rose Garden Coliseum. Joy is received well by all audiences of all ages. |
