compositions used in the lonely planet series of
documentary travel tv programs. currently peices
from the 'ireland' and 'russia' shows are
available. more tracks will be provided on
request. in addition ian ritchie has written
pieces for the 'norway', 'australia', 'iceland',
'madagascar', 'new zealand', 'brazil', 'equador'
programs from the series as well as composing
the 'lonely planet theme'. in addition, more recent pieces
are in a chilled out jazz style. these include
'spy theme' which was composed for a spy gadgets
documentary and 'equinox' which is part of a chilled
jazz album project known as 'paradiso'. more to follow. |

Artist History
ian ritchie is a composer/producer/saxophonist/programmer. he started his musical life in the theatre rock group 'deaf school' as a sax player. he later released records under the name 'miro miroe' during the new romantic period in the 80's. he went on to produce albums by roger waters, laurie anderson, hugh cornwell, pete wylie..... before returning to live performance with his jazz and ambient groups. he is currently perfoming live in venues all over london as well as producing/composing music for film and tv. |
