Artist History
A strong desire and the will to play music that is true, honest and from the core prompted four individuals to put aside prior personal issues and set out on a mission to be heard, recognized and respected for the path that they have chosen. Rising from the remains of several now defunct metal acts, Jonathan Amow, Justin Murray, Anthony Grant and Peter Noel formed an entity and musical assault dubbed Head Strong Violence in October of 2000. Through the music, feelings and raw emotions flow to create a very real picture of present day life in all its complexity. A distinct combination of several musical elements, that stem from hardcore groove to jazz and emotional/aggressive metal, gives the band the freedom to put forth a unique sound that is severely intense but yet beautiful. Live shows continue to reinforce this intensity on another level, audiences receive another look into the cathartic music generated by these individuals and are left to question and search inside themselves afterwards. Though inspired by many artists the members of Head Strong Violence remain influenced by each other, the lives they live and the belief in what they are doing. A voice that needs to be heard, a sound that cannot be denied and an attitude to be reckoned with should give anyone a reason to step beyond the line and enter into the music of Head Strong Violence. Due to circumstances beyond his control, the original bassist, Peter Noel, was forced to take a hiatus from the band. Christopher Ng-A-Fook has been chosen as a replacement and has also contributed to bass tracks for the HSV Demo 2001. |
