Artist History Born in the rural parts of the ever green and ever flat Netherlands, AiRdAncE is pretty down to earth. His musical career did not florish until he and his parents moved to southern Spain, where he found some new friends very quickly.These friends where 'Gitanos', or gipsies all around. Every single one of them new his or her music, mainly Estilo Flamenco (Flamenco style) and Sevillana (Seville style).The acoustic spanish guitar is a fundamental base for all these different types of sourthern spanish music, and threaded through the mind of every Granadino.As AiRdAncE moved to Spain in an early stage of life (he was aged 13 when they moved), he was very perceptive to new influences. Soon enough he joined a band with four other youngsters.Life was a beautiful mountain life, and making music and singing was a big part of it.A special connection was found with Tomi Diaz Estevez, who was a kind and gentle, but most of all pure person. Tomi knew how to play the electric guitar like no other could. He could make such a harsh instrument sound like a mountain breeze, cool and soft.Besides that, their two voices sounded like one. A capella songs the two sung are still very famous and knows amongst the youngsters of the area where they lived.AiRdAncE spent many days, even weeks, playing and singing together with Tomi. Just the two of them. Friends for life.In 1991, AiRdAncE moved back to the Netherlands aged 17, almost 18, while his parents stayed in Spain. He kept on making music, mostly based on a desire to show Tomi his new skills and themes during vacations in Spain.In 1999, Tomi died of a sudden astma attack, and left his family, girlfriend and all of his friends behind, devastated.Since then, AiRdAncE did not touch his keyboard for about six months. But now he's back. And he's ready to show Tomi and the rest of the world what he can do ! On-line ! And YOU are there to witness it... "Tomi, quiero que sepas que te quiero y que te echo de menos.
