Artist History Stricken hails from Burbank, CA and was formed in 1996 under the named "Denounce". But after mainy line up changes and a different direction in music, they became Stricken. Zack(vocals) and Jeremy(guitar) went to school together in Burbank and played shows with Bobz's(drummer) band at the time, which he sang and played guitar for. Stricken was in need of a new drummer, and luckily Bobz had just parted was with the band he was with, and offered to try out. Stricken recorded at Love Juice Labortories(Rufio, Scars of Tomorrow) in Riverside in April 2001 their first EP intitled "San Religious Cafe" to be put out through 1 Ton Records, a label owned by friends of theirs. At the time we had a DJ/Electronics member in the band who quit a week before they played their Record Release show. In August of 2002, Jeremy met Bryan(guitar) at his work and discussed how they were looking for a second guitar player, he came to a couple practices and everything worked out. Bobz had known Brian G(bass) for over a year when they once worked together, and was always asking Bobz if he could try out. Around December 2003 Stricken was in need of a new bassist, so he was the first person asked. The lineup now is the one that will last. In March of 2003 Stricken enterted Mama Jo's recording studio with Producer/Engineer Dean Nelson(Boy Sets Fire, My Chemical Romance, Ataris) to record a new 5 song demo to pass out to everyone in their paths.
