Artist description
The style of savory is very diverse. Diverse enough that it's a task on it's own it to try to classify it as a certain genre. Melodic, yet savage. Sweet, but sour. |

Artist History
The Birth of 'savory' started around mid/late 1999 when Eli was looking for a sideproject to do, something melodic, and more complex. He called up Sully, Adam, Steph and Nathan, all of which who were also looking towards the same musical ideas. It took a while to start the musical writing process (no spot to play). We started jamming, and it clicked immediatly, we knew we had something going. this band wasn't going to be *second place* anymore. We all knew that it was more than a sideproject.
After Months of jamming, and shows around town, we hooked up with the indie label 'peanut-tree records', which has brought alot of success and hapiness to the band. Tours, Split CD's, Merch... peanut-tree has done it all for us. We're planning on the release of our Debut Full Length Album in Late 2001, early 2002 on peanut-tree records.
Today, we are happy with the sucess that we've acoumplished in the last year. National Radio Play/Interviews (CBC radio), regular radio play, tours, and we were in the midst of getting a video with producer Rob Heydon (sector seven, edwin, parts of 'fight club'), but 'Treble Charger' beat us to the grant (like they fucking need it). But, we're happy and look forward to a good future. Keep your eye out for 'savory' in the near future.
