    Press Reviews
Contains articles published in suplementaries, newspapers, fanzines and maganizes and also radial commentaries. "With the leadership of Diego R., RRRRRRR resulted to be an incredible surprise. They do a super dark music and maybe gothic. While the band (guitar, bass and drums) plays very contundent arrangements, the vocalist plays very efficiently his role, showing a great handling of the scene, creating climates, using his face and his body in a very expressive way. He has a good voice, uses it well and gets that the people belive in him, thats the most important of all." Elbio Rodríguez Barilari - AUGUST of 1989. Sábado Show Rock Magazine (EL PAÍS NEWSPAPER). "This band is a little legendary. Much people has talked us about it and we never had seen them, but at last we did it. RRRRRRR is a dark band composed by a rythm machine, keyboards, bass, guitar and voice. We see influences from Bauhaus to Clan Of Xymox, their songs go along by that line. Their vocalist is charismatic and focus the attention of the public." Gabriela Bernardi - APRIL of 1992. "Sana Sana Rock" Magazine. "RRRRRRR is a band that we never had seen before and that surprised us by the consolidation that shows, with a very good number of good quality songs, a clear and legible vocalization acompanied by a strong, atmospheric and precise music." Gastón Fuentes Rama - OCTOBER of 1999. "Gótico Cibermag" Magazine. www.geocities.com/Paris/Louvre/7936 "With a trayectory of more than a decade, the band support in the personality of their singer that is who has the responsability of the authory of all the songs. With a sound full of suggesting climates, the band convinces by their songs lyrical proposal solidity and joint, awaking the interest of a public that without being cultor of the genre, they received without resistance the dark blast proposed from stage, by virtue of the neofit of any espectator, the band convinces because among other things their present with the absolute conviction of their art". Nathalie - DECEMBER of 1999. Show "Meridiano Juvenil" CX 26 AM SODRE. "Keeping alive 80's spirit, RRRRRRR performed the past saturday 30th in "Perdidos" pub with a fascinating musical and visual proposal, celebrating something like a communion with the spirit of the darkest music that today is a cult for many people. As a show it seemed very attractive to me (as a visual show) and as a auditive show it was a delight. What RRRRRRR does is really different and I think is terrific that people pays more attention to them." Lorena Bello DECEMBER of 2000. "Agítese antes de oir" Show CX 26 AM SODRE. "The girls had free entrance until midnight, so I went early. We were hearing the Ramones as an aperitive, and after many drinks and with much public, Suversivos started. Guys, guys... why the rush...? There`s no melody, and the lyrics are a mixing of shouts and cacophony. And as the tango says "I have a doubt in my chest"... why almost every punk band tries to sound as bad as the "La Polla Records" first album ?. RRRRRRR followed them, that cold fire with its long maked up singer, and that marvellous music that remembers you that Uruguay is not a tropical country. They close with a Siouxsie & The Banshees's version of "Spellbound", with Severina (the bassist), doing the vocals, and you feel like they continue a while, but not. They play in Montevideo, but they could do it in London or Berlin." Rita López - MAY of 2001. "Puro Rock" Magazine (LA REPUBLICA Newspaper). RRRRRRR concert in " De la Piedad" Theatre (Buenos Aires- Argentina): ..."I`m not who to criticize an artist. You can mistreat a politic in the power, yes! but if I don´t like an artist i preffer to shut up. I like RRRRRRR and because that I´m going to talk about them. They came from Montevideo to perform in the last "Ritual de Kuervos" and even that they don't did it on their own equippment they did give a good show, they moved us,(thanks to "Salto al Vacío" that where so cool and gave the night a punk touch in addition of givin up their gear). The RRRRRRR sound is dark, intense and crude, with own in spanish songs, but in the last, if you need the clasification, RRRRRRR does a good gothic rock. It shows that there's experience (they played for more than a decade) and love in what they do. The band is compact and each member from his instrument shows personality. This dark chemistry is given by: Diego R. (leader voice and guitar, devotion, histrionism, and frozen charisma), Severina (bass, voice and sexy indiference), Diego V. (leader guitar, talent and excessesss) and Machine K. (drums, strenght and contundency). Influences? why using space in naming them if they served to make something original? And please forgive my lack of objectiveness but I don't understand how Uruguay have so dumb ears... I wish they can harv, in their first concert the past 14th of July, a dark seed in the Buenos Aires scene, every time more lacking of originality. Today i'm not going to recommend you any book, i'm only going to invite you to listen to RRRRRRR." Subjective Report: Irene Vizcarra - JULY of 2001. "La Fiera" Magazine.
