    Artist History
PeaceChild began back in the 80's as Arsenal. Arsenal consisted of J.D. Miller-Guitar, Christine Steel-Vocals, Kandi Slaughter-Bass, and Dave Calliano-Drums. Arsenal released "Armored Choir" on Regency Records in 1990.Soon after, J.D. Miller left the band to persue different musical interests. Arsenal then hired Brien DeChristopher to take up the position on Guitar. After a short time Dave Calliano left the group and was replaced by a rotating series of drummers. After a few months, Arsenal took on Kevin Pike as primary Lead Guitarist, which changed the creative path of the band dramatically. With a new sound and musical direction Arsenal plodded on for a few years only to have Kandi Slaughter leave the band to pursue his own interests. A few of the songs listed for PeaceChild feature Kandi on Bass, the others feature Kevin Pike filling in on the instrument. The songs he contributed to are: Dreams, and Man-Made Religion. As Arsenal did not have a solid drummer,Stan Arthur was brought in to fill the slot during recording sessions where he also lended a trained hand in production as well. After a while Arsenal decided to look for a new name to match the new sound they were finding. Thus PeaceChild came into being. As PeaceChild, they began recording a few more tracks and developing their sound further. Unfortunately, all off the members have split up due to musical differences and are now playing in their own projects.
