    Artist description
Basketcase is the result of taking goth, industrial, punk, and techno and smashing them together violently at high speed without helmets or seatbelts. The music of Basketcase is hard, dark, and aggressive, but not so hard that they are purely industrial. Basketcase has some serious old-school goth influences, along with some original techno-industrial ideals. The sound can be attributed to being from the Detroit area, as the Detroit industrial sound is clear in their work.

    Artist History
Basketcase formed in 2000 out of frustration. The band consists of Keyth Hallowen, ZeroCorpse, Wilder K. Wight, and K.E. Owen who are also members of other groups, and most were involved with Boi Creature Diversion, Cemetery Children, and The Fiction Machine. The band decided to focus on the more hardcore element of the music played in those other bands, and thus Basketcase was born. In early 2002, their bandmate Boi Creature died, and Boi Creature Diversion came to a halt. Owen, Wight, and Hallowen made the decision to continue to manage what was left of their work for Boi Creature Diversion, but to step full-time into performing as Basketcase with ZeroCorpse, and the occasional guest spot from other performers. Their first CD, "Life's A Bitch" was scheduled for a late 2002 release, but was pushed back while the band settles some issues regarding the death of former bandmate Boi Creature.
