Wound Girls is a female punk/alternative band with an intellectual appeal crossing age and gender boundaries. Our lyrics are mostly political and mostly focus on feminist, anti-racist, and pro-bisexual issues. Our fans range from very young to college age and beyond. We have a strong yet seductive image.Campus Circle says "Wound comes on with a vengeance...filled with lits of attitude". Continuing the riot grrl tradition, Wound Girls is lead by former Runaways lead guitarist Sondra Menthers. Bandmembers have played with other seminal LA punk groups such as Slot Rockets, Killer Instinct, and Gash. Wound has been together 5 years. All our songs have reached the top 3 on the MP3 charts!!!!. |
